Prototype Development

From concept to a production-ready furniture program. Select works with hospitality brands and design teams to develop casegoods and seating that can move from concept through review, approval, and production — with repeatability built in from the beginning.

Prototype

Designed to become a program

A successful prototype has to do more than look right. We work through design intent, construction, materials, finishes, functionality, durability, cost, manufacturability, installation, and repeatability early in the process so the finished product is ready for real hospitality use and scalable production.

Shop drawings, samples, and finish development are coordinated through a dedicated project manager, creating a clear path from design development through brand and client review and into production.

What a prototype has to resolve

Prototype development is where design and manufacturing come together. Decisions made here establish the foundation for production, installation, and future properties.

Production

From prototype to production

Once the prototype and associated submittals are approved, Select can carry the program forward into production — maintaining the approved design, construction, finishes, and performance expectations established during development.

Brand Programs

Built for branded hospitality

Prototype development requires an understanding of both the individual property and the larger brand vision.

We work with brand and design teams through the required review and approval process, developing furniture that responds to the project while considering how the product can be consistently manufactured and repeated across future properties.
